How it works
Buy and sell rural, the direct way
O.N.O Rural connects buyers and sellers across Australia for livestock, farm machinery, rural property and rural jobs. Find it, make an offer, message the seller, get it done. No middle layer between you and the person on the other end.
The steps
Four steps, both ways
Whether you are buying or selling, it is the same simple flow.
- 01
Find what you need
Browse livestock, farm machinery, rural property and rural jobs. Filter by category, state and type, or search by keyword. Open a listing to see the photos, price, location and full detail.
- 02
Make an offer or a bid
Buy at the listed price, or make the seller an offer. On listings that take bids you can place a bid and see where you stand. The seller can accept, decline or come back with a counter.
- 03
Message the seller
Chat with the seller in the app to ask about condition, weights, delivery or inspection. Everything for one item stays in the one thread, so nothing gets lost.
- 04
Agree and get it done
Once you and the seller agree, you settle the sale and arrange pickup, transport or agent handling between yourselves. O.N.O Rural connects the two of you and keeps the conversation in one place.

Questions
Frequently asked
Is it free to browse and to list?
Browsing every listing on O.N.O Rural is free. You create a free account to message a seller, make an offer or place a bid. Listing an item to sell is straightforward from your account.
How do offers work?
Open the listing and choose Make an offer. Enter your amount and a short message if you like. The seller is notified and can accept, decline or send a counter offer. You will see the reply in your messages.
How do bids work?
On a listing that accepts bids, place your bid and you will see where it sits. The seller sets how they run it and decides which bid to accept. Placing a bid is a genuine commitment to buy, so only bid on items you intend to purchase.
How do I message a buyer or seller?
Every listing has a message thread. Start a conversation from the listing and it stays tied to that item, so questions, photos and agreements are all in the one place for both of you.
How do I sell an item?
Create your listing from your account: add photos, a clear title, the price, the location and the detail buyers ask about, such as breed, age and weight for livestock, or hours and condition for machinery. Publish it and buyers can find it, make offers and message you.
How do I pay and arrange delivery?
You and the other party agree the terms directly. Payment, pickup, transport and any agent involvement are arranged between buyer and seller. O.N.O Rural is where you find each other and keep the conversation.
Do I need the app?
You can browse listings on the website. To message, make offers, place bids and manage your own listings, use your O.N.O Rural account, available on the website and in the mobile app.
How do I stay safe?
Deal through the in-app messages so you have a record, ask plenty of questions, and inspect or arrange an independent inspection before you commit to anything of value. Treat a request to pay outside the agreed terms with caution.
